Support that moves you forward.

Coastline Care is Cairns disability support for people who need someone who actually shows up, gets stuck in, and works toward something. Mentorship for younger blokes. Mateship for older. Real support, one person at a time.

Why Coastline exists

More than just showing up.

Jye Mcrae spent years in support work, in Western Sydney and then up here in the Far North. Along the way he learned what genuinely good support looks like: someone who turns up, gets stuck in, and keeps working toward something alongside the person.

Support that turns up, gets stuck in, and always keeps moving forward.

That is the whole idea behind Coastline. Support that is reliable, hands-on, and always going somewhere, delivered by people who are genuinely in it. He stayed in Cairns and built it from the ground up.

What we do

Support that is actually going somewhere.

Different people need a different version of the same thing: someone reliable, engaged, and working toward a goal. Here is how that takes shape.

Teens and young men

Big Brother mentorship

Structure, routine, and someone who sets the bar and follows through. School pickup, homework, chores, cooking, then the gym or something good to finish on. The kind of older-brother figure a lot of young blokes are missing.

Adult and older men

Mateship support

Getting stuck in, side by side. Working on the backyard, long drives, real conversations. Support that feels like a mate who turns up, not a worker filling a slot.

Everyone we work with

Daily living & community access

The everyday support that actually moves things forward. Every shift planned around a goal, built around the person, never passive minding.

One person at a time

Tailored experiences

A fishing charter on the Reef. A live concert. A week getting someone settled after months in hospital. Built from scratch for the individual, using real connections.

Proof, not promises

What happens when every shift counts.

Harley · over five months

Wheelchair, to walking, to back on track.

A difficult period of life, and someone he could trust. Previous supports defaulted to coffee runs. Coastline met him as a bloke first: driving out to the farm because he could not sit still, working with his hands, long country drives, and real conversations about the bigger picture. Over five months, Harley went from a wheelchair to walking, and is back on track and working toward some big goals.

Jhett · in a few short months

From dreading social situations, to smashing his goals.

Fourteen, with ASD and anxiety. A steady routine, boundaries that held, and social coaching in the moment instead of after the fact. He is now doing the things that were written down as goals only months ago. His mum could not be happier.

The goal is for every participant to feel safe, supported, and part of a brotherhood. One-to-one support is at the heart of it, with community built around it wherever we can. See more outcomes →

The difference

Same service on paper. A different thing entirely.

01

Every shift has a goal before it starts

No open-ended hours. No turning up to see what happens. We know what we are working toward before we walk in.

02

We hire on trust, not on availability

Every worker is someone we know personally and trust with the people we support. If the trust is not there first, the shift does not happen.

03

Built around the person, not the schedule

A day with a 14-year-old looks nothing like a day with a stroke survivor. We change to suit the person, not the other way around.

04

A Sydney work ethic, on the ground in Cairns

Prompt, reliable, and genuinely engaged. We bring city pace and discipline to every shift, and the local knowledge to back it up.

For support coordinators

Support you can put your name to.

If you have a participant who needs structure, reliability, and someone who will genuinely get stuck in, that is exactly who we are for. And you will hear from us before you have to ask.

Let’s talk about who you have in mind.

Whether you are a family, a participant, or a coordinator, tell us a bit about the person and what they are working toward. We will take it from there.
