The story

From Western Sydney to the Far North.

Coastline Care started with one person who knew support could be done properly, and decided to do it. This is that story, and what it means for the people we work with.

Where it began

Years on the tools, then a decision.

Jye Mcrae was introduced to support work through one of his best mates in Western Sydney, and ended up helping behind the scenes with his mate’s company. In-home support, transport, hospital settings, schools. He learned what genuinely good support looks like.

Then he moved to Cairns to play rugby league for the Northern Pride. When footy started winding down, he wanted to channel the same discipline into something he could build. Coastline Care was it.

Show up, do the work, and keep the person moving forward.

What he brings

A tradesman’s hands and an athlete’s discipline.

Jye is a landscaper by trade, which means he can get stuck into real, practical work alongside the people he supports, out in the yard, working with their hands, doing rather than watching.

And the structure that runs through every shift, effort before reward, show up and do the work, comes straight from years in semi-professional sport. It is the same approach, pointed at helping someone move their life forward.

What it stands for

The work is the brand, not the person.

Jye is deliberately not the face of Coastline. The point was never to build a personality. It was to build something people can trust, that holds its standard whether or not he is the one on shift.

That is why every worker is hired on trust, every shift is planned, and the name, Coastline, points outward, to an ambition to support people right along the Queensland coast over time.
